∙ 12y agoIt would be impossible for evidence of an organism to survive in an environment of temperatures necessary for magma creation. Fossils are sometimes found in metamorphic rock, but only rarely. High temperatures and pressures associated with many metamorphic processes would normally destroy fossil evidence that existed in sedimentary rock.

∙ 13y agoFossils do form in Igneous rock, lava flows have been known to preserve trees, humans and over animals. The lava only leave empty spaces which are known as moulds, if plaster is poured into the space a cast of the original being will be formed

∙ 11y agoThis is because they are not strong/hard enough to withstand the heat and pressure required/involved during igneous rocks formation. Fossils are not resistant to extreme temperatures so they dont survive, but instead are destroyed and mix with the magmatic melt.

How do igneous and metamorphic rocks become sedimentary rocks?
The igneous and metamorphic rock is weathered (broken into smaller pieces by physical and chemical weathering processes) and eroded (movement of particles by wind, water, ice, and gravity). The sediment particles created by these processes eventually reach a point of deposition where they become stationary long enough to be covered by additional sediments. They then become compacted from the weight of additional sediments above them. As they are compacted, cementing minerals form out of the remaining fluids between the sediment particles, gluing the particles together. At this point, the material has become sedimentary rock.
