If you are married woman, you can take it off ony at home where nowbody accept of your family can see you If you're not married, you can take it off and all members of your family can see you like that Also Muslims have to wear a hijab because no other man is aloud to see u without a hijab\ if your married that doesnt mean you could take your hijab off its against Islam and only in front of your husband, children, sisters, brothers you cant take it off in front of people (that you can marry)

If she don't take it off how does she take showers? You can take it off if you feel that you are not in the view of any other people who are not muhrim. It's not an iron maiden, it's a piece of clothing to protect your modesty.
