The reason that the instructions for creating proteins are stored as DNA, and not RNA is that RNA is much less stable than DNA. This means that if the information (or message) for how to create a protein was kept on RNA, it would soon degrade - and the instructions would be lost.

DNA is much more stable than RNA, and because it does not leave the nucleus (in eukaryotic cells) it is much less likely to be degraded. This is why the instructions for protein synthesis cannot originate with RNA.

DNA is more stable for many reasons, two of the simplest being; it is double-stranded (the hydrogen bonds in the centre provide stability) and it contains an H on its 2 position instead of an OH (less likely to be involved in reactions).

Messages cannot be directly taken from RNA because RNA is an intermediate molecule that carries genetic information from the DNA to the ribosomes, where proteins are synthesized. The information stored in DNA is transcribed into RNA, and then translated into proteins. Therefore, to obtain the complete genetic message, the information needs to be transcribed and translated into proteins.

no

A part of a cell the sends messages from the nucleus to the cytoplasm is?

Messanger RNA

A major difference in RNA as compared to DNA is?

RNA can move and DNA cant. DNA has a double helix strand and RNA is a single strand.

What does mRNA stand for and why does it have to be made?

Messanger RNA and it sends the messages for the DNA because the DNA cannot leave the nucleus

Types of RNA and give the function?

The three types of RNA is mRNA, tRNA and rRNA. rRNA is ribosomal RNA makes an important part of the ribosome. tRNA is for transfer RNA that transfers amino acids to ribosome like messenger RNA says. mRNA is for messenger RNA who carries messages to other parts of the cell.

The nucleolus of the cell contains?

nucleus have a jelly like fluid called nucleolus

Where is transfer RNA found?

Transfer RNA is generally located around the cells after translation. They are usually attached to carrier proteins that are in mRNA ribosome complexes.

Three ways RNA and DNA differ?

1. The sugar in DNA is deoxyribose and the sugar in RNA is ribose. 2. DNA is a double strand and RNA is single strand. 3. DNA is in the nucleus and RNA travels around from nucleus to cytoplasm. or 1. RNA is generally single stranded 2. RNA contains Uracil in place of Thymine 3. The sugar in RNA is Ribose instead of Deoxribose

What is the full name of t RNA?

Right Name Asscosiation

What is the nucleotide associated with chemical messages?

The nucleotide that is associated with chemical messages is Messenger RNA. This is a nucleotide that is similar to DNA except it only has one strand instead of two, thymine is replaced with uracil, and there is ribose instead of deoxyribose.

Which purine or pyrimidine bases are not present in the messanger RNA m-RNA is it adenine or guanine or cytosine or thymine or uracil?

thyamine isn't present in mRNA its place is taken by uracil

What are the two kinds of RNA?

mRNA- messenger RNA and type of RNA that is used in protein synthesis. It carries a copy of the instructions for assembling amino acids (which was taken from the original DNA).(source for mRNA) What_is_mRNAAtRNA- transport amino acids to ribosomes for incorporation into a polypeptide undergoing synthesis.(source for tRNA) transfer-rna
