Vodka is available for purchase in some WalMart stores depending on the state they are located in. Laws concerning the sale of Alcoholic Beverages differ by state and even sometimes by city, town or district.

In Vermont, for example, you can only purchase liquor in a state-owned liquor store. In Connecticut, you can purchase beer in a grocery store, but have to go to a privately-owned liquor store to purchase wine or spirits. In Florida, most stores can carry liquor, beer or wine, but the section that sells it must have its own entrance that is separate from the stores main entrance. In California, you can purchase beer, wine and liquor in most stores.
