The best way to find the correct driver for a printer is to firstly visit the manufacturer website whereby you will be able to search for the correct model of printer in which you will be able to download the correct driver in order for the printer to work properly.
One can find driver downloads on the websites of the equipment that one needs the driver for. For example if one needs printer drivers for an HP printer, they could be found on the HP website.
Go to the printer manufacturer’s Website and search for print drivers, printer drivers or drivers. Find the right driver for your printer model. Download and install the driver. You may have to restart the computer after installing the new driver.
The fix is almost always to install the correct printer driver software (if you can find it). Sometimes when you connect a new Plug and Play compatible printer that the OS does not know (e.g. the printer is a newly introduced model and you have an older computer and OS) the OS will pick either a "generic printer driver" or a printer driver for an older "similar" printer. Such printer drivers may not in fact be compatible with the new printer and garble the printing. Hopefully the printer came with a printer driver installation CD or DVD, or the manufacturer's website provides downloads of their latest printer drivers for the printer.
Neither. If the drivers were available on the installation disc, it would have installed the driver automatically when you plugged it in. And if the wizard could not find one through the driver update over the internet, then it does not have one either. You should check to see if HP has a Vista driver available for your printer on their website.
Have a look in the internet for it, if you still cant find it, have your printer replaced.
If you look directly on the Xerox website you should be able to find the driver for the Xerox Phaser 8200. The driver for this printer was created in 2000.
There are a variety of places online where you can find older printer drivers. One option is http://www.Download.com. Here, you can search for the driver you need specifically, and download it for free.
