If you have bought the game from a shop put the game in; when the instruction screen comes up go onto control panel and look for the file recently used data then go on refresh news. If you can't find that make sure you have nothing running in the background then follow the instructions.
If you have more that 1 expansion pack installed then click on the most recent game of the Sims you installed, then if that works exit the programs you are on then go onto my computer click on C file to check you have enough space to install the games that you want to install and if your computer has good enough graphics to play the games.
If not go onto control panel and go on to graphics card and lower the game rate and picture screen and put it onto the graphic that suits it. After that try to install the game again but if not it's successful refresh your whole computer and all the programs get rid of all the things you don't need on there and then install it and try again, if that does not work then your Sims base game might be corrupted and you will need to uninstall it.

Yes.
