You can take it, and in some patients it will still be very effective to reduce the duration of the symptoms and their severity, but it is most effective when started within the first 40 to 48 hours of symptoms. A physician would be able to determine if you are a candidate for the anti-viral medication, so consult your doctor if you think you may have influenza.

If you are tolerating Tamiflu well it should be ok to go to school. Tamiflu has been known to cause very adverse reactions in some people including myself. Which is why I will never take it again. But if you are fine, I cant see why you cant go on with your life if you are able to. Either way, school is a public place, god forbid if you feel like something is very wrong, somone will always be able to call an ambulance. I know it's hard but TRY not to be afraid of anyhting.
