Apparently, too much sleep is just bad for your body as not enough sleep. You'll notive that if you over-sleep you wake up feeling groggy and unenergized. 8 hours of sleep is considered healthy for most adults. Your body can't "catch up" on sleep, so sleeping for 12 hours one night because you only got 4 hours of sleep the night before won't work. You'll have lost out on two nights of healthy sleep because you under-slept one night and over-slept the other!

We are like phones. If we do too much of something such as playing sports, all of a sudden you start to not feel too well and feel tired. So if you take a rest or nap or sleep, then you will feel energized again.
