Iron deficiency is often due to pro longed heavy periods, but can also be from other conditions such as stomach ulcers, pregnancy etc. Or, if you don't eat meat and dairy products. If at risk eat food high in iron such as fish, liver, spinach, cereals, nuts etc. Symptoms are excess tiredness, dizziness, palpitations, headaches.
