Sharks have gills to extract oxygen whereas whales , being mammals , have lungs from which they get their oxygen . Whales need to surface in order to access oxygen while a shark is not burdened with this necessity thus being able to stay underwater indefinitely .
Some Can
They live in water.
They don't stay underwater longer than whales.
Whales are mammals while sharks are not. Sharks also have a skeleton made mainly out of cartilage while whales have a skeleton made out of bone. Sharks also have gills while whales must breathe in air. Sharks eat different things then whales.
When whales jump out of the water it is called breaching, I suppose the same word also applies to sharks.
1) Whales are mammals and do not have gills, they come to the surface to breathe.2) Whale Sharks have gills and as other sharks receive oxygen through the water.3) Whales sharks have the same cartilaginous skeleton structure as other sharksTthe reason its called WHALE shark is because it is the largest of all the sharks, and as whales are the currently biggest mammals on the earth it only seems appropriate.No. it isn't a reptile.
Whales and dolphins can't communicate under water
they are alike in different ways they both live in the ocean and they are both hunters
All the whales usually eat the sharks as their normal food diet. They also even eat the killer whale or the orca. Not all whales eat sharks. Humpback whales (like all baleen whales) filter feed on tiny crustaceans (krill ), plankton, and small fish (including herring, mackerel,) from the water.
