The ability to see colour originates in light. Sunlight is actually colorless. All colours ofo the spectrum are actually white light. The invisible colour of green shines onto grass for example which absorbs this colour and sends the message "green" to the eye. The eye receives the reflected message of green and sends it to the brain.
