Why cant orthodox Jews mix with black people?

There is no difference between Blacks and others in this regard. We try not to mix with wider society too much in order to avoid assimilation.

The first opinion is only partially right. The Jewish people do believe that they are the chosen people and they do not mix with others because of the others' lack of being chosen. Many more religious Jews believe that interacting with non-Jews for more than just required business functions hampers their ability to have a spiritual connection with God. This perception comes from the prevalence in non-Jewish society of ideas that would be Jewish heresy such as relativism, materialism, and economic values to spiritual things.

However, most non-religious Jews or partially religious Jews such as the Conservative, Reform, Reconstructionist, and Non-Denominational Jews do interact with non-Jews outside of work and many of them have non-Jewish friends. They believe that they can balance their own beliefs while interacting with those who believe differently and are less concerned about their spiritual purity being ruined by contact with the non-Jewish.

A note on the first answer: Jews do not believe in Heaven (in the Christian Perception of there being a place where people enjoy themselves for eternity up in the clouds). They believe in similar things, like the Heavenly Court (where all people go to be judged postmortem) and the Olam Haba (the World to Come) which is the the paradise that will be constructed out of this world in the post-Messianic Era. (In between are a number of different places, but none of them "Heaven".) Furthermore, it is quite possible for non-Jews to go to all of these positive places, provided that they follow the Noahide Laws.
