Should students have cellphone in the school?

It is important to have your cell phone in school. I think it is important to have in school to have for many reasons. One reason is if something dangerous would happen at the school, you could contact your parents. It is also important to contact other students if they need to know missing homework or assignments. There would have to be restrictions to having the cell phones, such as keeping it on vibrate so it doesnt disrupt the class, or else it could be taken away, but it definitely should be allowed in school, and it is important o have in school.

Students should NOT bring cell phones to school. If the school is gracious enough to allow it, the cell phones should be turned off ... not silent, not on vibrate, OFF... at all times when class is in session.

Umpty-eleven generations have managed somehow to survive periods of up to 8 hours without having cell phones. Yours is not going to die from it, we promise.

"What if there's an emergency" is a red herring. If there is a real emergency, the school will have phones that can be used.

Ultimately, there is no good reason for students to have a cell phone at school, and plenty of good reasons for them not to (they're a distraction, they can be used to cheat, etc.).

After school is a different matter, and outside of school hours it's up to the parents (or the student themselves, if they're over 18) whether they have cell phones or not.

cell phones should be alklowed because what if a student needs help at school and is in danger but dont want to tell the teachers or the principal, then what will the student do?

No it is not ! If your parents need to get in touch with you at school (in case of emergency) they can simply phone the school, and the staff will find you in your classroom.
