Why deforestation happen?

As us humans cut down forests for housing and to build cities and cut down trees to spent on paper,fuel etc...and as we grow in population (for space) and clear to make land to grow crops but there is also natural factos like forest fires, we may be able to replant trees to replace them, but at what rate ?

There are many reasons as to why deforestation happen. In some countries selective logging is employed where certain species are cut down. But in other areas people take advantage by illegal logging since business from this very profitable. Demand for wood furniture and ornaments are still high. Even though selective logging is allowed, illegal logging is more profitable.

Corruption is also another major reason for deforestation. Agencies to protect rainforests are bribed. Even though there are volunteers, there are just not enough personnel to supervise all these areas.
