Like any other man that conquers an other country, so did Alexander spread Greek culture of which he belonged and he pointed out on numerous occasions.Keep in mind that most Greek city - states were more progressive than the then know world, so the Greek ideas and culture were something quite different but evensoafter his death and even during his life the conquered countries did kept most of there cultures traditions and way of government.
