The main reason is the lack of faith in Allah (or God in English and same God worshiped in Judaism, Christianity, and Islam). If one looks at the miracles that Allah supported His prophets with and look at the scientific miracles in Qur'an verses, sure he/she will have stronger faith in God will. The problem is that the more one advances in scientific research and development the more he/she drives himself/herself away from God although it should be the opposite.
