When you read a article, listen to, or watch a news piece you're reading, watching or listening to the person(s) who are presenting it. As well you are reading, watching or listening to their perception. When you talk to someone on the street they reiterate the perception of the news/media person they respect. They may go around repeating an opinion as fact without checking out the validity of what they heard. I'm reminded of a quote from Aristotle. "It is the mark of an educated mind to be able to entertain a thought without accepting". (Aristotle from brainypage.com) If we can teach this to the media maybe we can change every ones perception, but then again could any of us stop from presenting our own perception? Who should we decide to regulate perception? Something to think about.
