Why did Bluestar name Firestar Firepaw when he joined the clan?

Although she claimed it was "In honor of his flame colored pelt", Bluestar named Rusty Firepaw when he first joined the clan because of Spottedleaf's prophecy "fire alone will save our clan". When Bluestar first saw Rusty, she knew he was the cat in the prohecy; the fire.

How did Blustar die?
Tigerstar got a pack of dogs to attack ThunderClan for his revenge. The Clan made a plan to lead the dogs into the gorge. They would lead the dogs a little ways and then switch cats. Firestar (then known as Fireheart) was the last cat to drive the dogs in the gorge. Tigerstar helped the leader dog catch Firestar and it began to kill him. Bluestar jumped at the dog, who grabbed onto Bluestar's leg and pulled her in the gorge with it. Firestar went in after her, but by the time they got to shore, Bluestar was dieing. She died with her kits, Stonefur and Mistyfoot, Firstar and Graystripe by her side, knowing that her Clan was in good paws.
