But there were no leaders there to take control the country was broke the industries had been bombed out someone had to take control and the US did not want Russia to have all of Germany, Russia did not want Britian to have complete control, US and Britian did not want France to have control Germany had too much resources to let just one country have it all so they divided it up.
If they did Soviet Union would get the Mediterranean Sea, which means they would easily go to Atlantic & Indian Oceans. AND USSR had Arctic and Pacific Oceans on their north and east, so thy would have access to all 4 oceans

Britain?
Russian leadership in the Pan Slavic movement caused tension with Britain because the movement aimed to unify Slavic peoples, including those under Ottoman control - a region Britain had interests in. This led to competition between Russia and Britain for influence in the Balkans, contributing to strained relations.

It depends. Prior to 1979 Iran was a wholly supported ally of the United States. It was specifically designated a U.S. special interest state and the government of Shah Reza Pahlavi was fully backed by the US with money, food and arms. After the fundamentalist revolution it was feared that Iran would become a Soviet bloc ally, or puppet state; this did not happen. Iran is almost as wary of Russia as it is the US. They do have a shared border and sea, and do have some trade agreements, yet they actually have had better relations with some European nations, including Germany and France. Being as Iran does not want any part of the US or Russia dictating terms to them, it is unlikely that Russia would defend them against anything but a US invasion of Iran. That is not a highly likely proposition. During the Iran - Iraq wars Russia actually provided some support to Iraq, while the US had made some backroom deals on both sides of the conflict (Iran-Contra scandal).
Initially just Europe and Russia. He planned to stop for a while, build his base then take over the world.
