Oh dear. Agreed. Great Britain was on the Allied side in both world wars from start to finish. In each war, America came in later, on the Allied side. Just to make sure - Germany was on the other side in both World Wars.
to be allied is to be on your side and assisted, or helped/backed up... this generaly reffers to war eg. America was allies with Britain in ww2 so they helped and were 'on our side'
On the allied side: Britain, Canada, US and on the Axis Side: Germany and to a lesser extent Italy.
Britain was one of the only original allied forces, if not THE only, to withstand conquering by Nazi Germany. However, this didn't mean that Britain escaped unscathed, as is war. Nazi Germany attacked Britain's suburbs almost nightly with air raids, as the allied powers did to the Netherlands, Germany, Austria, and Poland. This is why Britain suffered so much during and after WWII.
The main allies Britain fought with in World War 1 were France, Russia and the United States. There were other smaller countries which were allied, like Greece, Romania and Italy, later on in the war.
Winston was on the allied side he was the prime minister of great Britain
France, U.S. & China.

When Germany invaded Poland in 1939, France and Britain, who had promised aid to Poland if Germany invaded, entered the war on the Allied side, thus starting the Second World War.
The Allied Powers.

The Soviet Union. They actually weren't an axis power nor allied with an axis power. All the Soviet Union did was sign a ten-year nonaggression pact with Hitler, which he broke only almost 4 years later. France and Britain were NEVER on the axis' side. This was because of the weakened state that Germany forced them to be in. It was also because of their history of each other.
