Britain did not "take over Canada" . People emigrated there just as they did to America
Most of the people that came to Australia were from Britain and came to escape the poverty and inequality that was a halmark of life in Britain.
Canada was actually part of Great Britain and was a hiding place for Loyalists (people who where loyal to Britain).
In 1922 many Irish people came to Britain as immigrants.

that doesn`t make sence... but i can explain it. canada was built by englend people who came. they named it "cadata", but after years and years it changed to canada. but the real people who lives thousands of years ago before the englend people came were the aboriginals.
During the 19th century, poverty meant people had to leave Scotland for. They believed they could start a better life abroad in these 'new' countries. The Highland Clearances meant that a lot of Scottish people were forced from their homes in Scotland and many of them left Britain for this reason. They were told they could own land and property in the colony countries whereas in Britain things were pretty bleak.
Irish people quite likely lived in Ireland before Canada. Also some came from America to Canada.
Canada and Britain both have a Parlimentary Government.
