Why did Cartoon Network show live actions when they supposed to just show cartoons?

Cartoon Network (in the 90's/early 2000's) used to primarily show productions based off of the Hanna-Barbera productions, but after their deaths (due to old age), Cartoon Network searched for new animators and new ways to compensate for the hole in their line up. Cartoon Network thus began introducing lame Cartoons and a failed attempt at live action shows. It seems that now a days Cartoon Network is pretty much scatterbrained and will be for a long time. This link lists all of their shows from October 1992 to present and shows a few of the upcoming shows.
If you are looking for the good old cartoons, on the east coast every Friday from 8-9 p.m. Cartoon Network hosts the cartoon planet line up which may feature 4 of any of Cartoon Networks best shows (i.e. I am weasel, Ed, Edd, and Eddy, Robotomy, Chowder).

They are feature-length Cartoons. the genre was pioneered by Walt Disney- Disney did not invent movie cartoons- but did string them together to feature length such as Snow White , Bambi, etc. for this he deserves credit. Modern Cartoon films include Anastasia, which does deal with a historical topic, not cartoon characters of the Disney type- it was made by Fox, not Disney productioins! It is true Walt pioneered Feature-length cartoons- and also mixtures of cartoons with live actions-- pioneered in the l946 Song of the South and later done with better effect in the last film personally supervised by Walt Disney- Mary Poppins. Animal cartoons are seen dancing on a Merry-Go-Round with live actors such as the Title Character.

Quite simply - no. A television is an inanimate object and the cartoons which may be transmitted to the television are also incapable of living actions such as eating prey.

Well, sometimes adults should be more responsible, but once in a while its fun to relax and have a laugh here and there. Some people think it should be banned from adults (its not that big of a deal) because adults get the message that they have to be like the characters in the cartoons, and sometimes adults express those "acting like a kid" moments through actions. so just to some things up u can watch cartoons whenever you feel like it but, remember... they are CARTOONS not REALITY!!!!!
