At its origins, Christianity grew rapidly due to several factors. One factor was the general decline of traditional pagan spirituality in the Roman Empire, creating a void which Christianity was able to fill. Another was the inherent quality of Christian spiritual life, through which extraordinary joy and fellowship were offered to converts. Christians themselves pointed (and still point) to divine help in growing the new faith rapidly at that time.
Christianity became popular so quickly after the death of Jesus because it met spiritual, moral, and practical needs. Christianity arose in the Roman Empire. The Roman conquerers were not nice people. Many of the native population starved to death. The early Christians set up an effective social network. They fed their hungry. The Apostle Paul told them, "If a man will not work, he shall not eat." Still, if a man would work, they helped him find work. And if he did not earn enough to eat, they fed him. No man was on his own. They were part of a group. "See how much they love each other." The group worked together. They had higher morality than pagans. Pagan worship frequently involved adultery with strangers. Christian worship opposed adultery. (Mohammed complained that Christians realized that sexual intercourse was an important part of idol worship and that Christians refused to oppose idolatry. He did not attack Christianity but Christianity's refusal to oppose idolatry.) Christian worship had a strong moral element. Finally, Christianity offered eternal life. Here was a way to overcome death. Paganism gave no such hope.

By preaching and healing, and by dying and by rising again, and finally, and this is the main way he 'brought Christianity', by sending the Holy Ghost to his believers. I think Jesus didn't bring Christianity. Christianity came after Jesus died. Because Christianity is based on the death burial and resurrection of Jesus. Salvation through faith in Jesus Christ wasn't preached until after His death.
No culture is 'responsible' for Christianity. Christianity is based on the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus Christ.
