To get away from the engine heat.
The battery is located in the trunk. It is in the well with the spare tire.
You have to take the front passenger tire off and a plate under the wheel well to get to the battery.
The battery is in the front of the left front tire well. The manual says you don't have to take off the tire, but you DO. Remove a few screws at the front of the wheel well and you'll find the battery.

The battery is in the left front fender. Jack up the car....... remove left front tire..... unscrew the plastic whell well in front of the tire.... there is the battery, GM series 75 SIDE POST battery
Inside the front right wheel well. remove tire and you will see a panel remove panel and you will have access to the battery. Check for panel before removig tire.
Through the drivers wheel well You must remove the driver tire. The batery is behind the wheel well cover closest to the bumper.
The battery on these are on the passenger side in front of the front wheel. You can change the battery through the hood but it is much easier to pull the front tire off and access it through the wheel well liner.
1. Remove the front left tire. (drivers side) 2. Find a plastic cover with a battery picture on it inside the wheel well. (on your left) 3. Remove the cover to reveal the battery. 4. Remove battery.
I have a 2001 sebring and they tend to place the battery in the front driver fender area. You have to remove the front driver tire, then remove (pry or unscrew) the bolts that hold the fender shield in place. It's most likely there in the fender/ bumper area. chilton's guides are pretty good reference too.The battery is located in the driver side lower fender well behind the wheel well splash guard.
Pull the left front tire off.then right in front of the wheel well,theres a plastic pannel that once unscrewed off,exposes the battery..odd place for it indeed,but there it is and just hook the charger up as needed. You can charge the battery from the jump start posts under the hood. There is no need to remove the inner fender.
I have a 95 Chrysler cirrus and my battery is located in the driver side wheel well. You have to take the wheel off and there is a comapartment leading to the battery
