edward was raised a protestant by his fathers radical protestant ministers, these ministers ran the country while edward was too young to rule.
Because Edward VI and Mary I had different mothers, they were brought up to follow different beliefs (Mary's mother was Catherine of Aragon = Catholic & Edward's mother was Jane Seymour = Protestant) Edward VI was a puritan ( a Protestant extremist) and Mary I was a Catholic extremist, so this was all about religion; Edward VI had made England a very Protestant country and he knew that if his half sister Mary I successed him that she would make England a Catholic country. This is why he did not want her to become Queen of England. Hope this helps :)
England?
because anne read the british newspaper article
Edward VI was a protestant, because when Henry VIII died more people had become protestant, and decided that Henry VIII was right. Since Edward was a heir to Henry, people were on the protestant side
yes
Henry VIII wanted a divorce, but divorce was banned by the Catholic Church therefore Henry decided to appoint himself head of the Church of England so he could get a divorce. However, Henry did not become a Protestant and he continued to practice Catholicism until his death. The Reformation in England did not cause the country to become Protestant. It allowed dissenting ideas freer access to the population. The teachings of men like John Calvin became more common in England because the Church of England was not so directly linked to Rome.
he wanted to he wanted to
William become the king.
In theory, yes, but like in America it is uncertain whether a non-Protestant would be electable.
England became a colonizing country mainly for profit.
Every Catholic had to become a Protestant!
