Florence Nightingale was not fat! In fact, she complained about overweight nurses that were sent to work under her in the Crimean War. She complained that they almost overturned the small boats used in Constantinople and that the hospital bedsteads would not hold them up. As she aged (she lived to be 90) she became slightly heavier and her face rounder, but FAT she was not.
