God chose Christs plan for the salvation of men, that was that man would be given agency to choose good or evil thereby working out their own salvation. Satan on the other hand would have forces man to do good thereby taking from him his agency. He also coveted Gods glory which he wanted for himself. He and his followers were cast out of heaven and became Satan and his angels, never to receive a body of flesh and bone.

∙ 13y agogod had banished lucifer from heaven because he (lucifer) thought he was better than god. lucifer was an angel of the lord and was to worship him, but thinking he was better god banished him to hell.

∙ 13y agoGod casted Lucifer out of Heaven because Lucifer was prideful and arrogant. He was infatuated with himself and had wickedness in him. So God casted him to Earth where there would be suffering. I think the whole story is in Isaiah.

∙ 13y agoFrom my understanding, its because Lucifer was prideful and became jealous of God. Lucifer refused to serve God, so God cast him out of Heaven. However, I'm a little confused by that theory, because, as I understand it, once an angel is in the presence of God and has seen God, said angel will have no attraction to evil and will desire only Gods goodness. Lucifer definitely saw God. How could he reject God then?

Falling from Heaven made Lucifer Satin. God did not allow Lucifer to continue in Heaven because Lucifer wanted to exalt himself above God, and take God's position.

Depending on what source you use, the answer may differ. But any source to this question is a fiction since the story of the devil is itself a fiction. My favorite source remains John Milton's epic poem PARADISE LOST. I find Milton more reliable than the Bible; he is not so contradictory. Lucifer was, apparently, the brightest of angels, hence his name. He rebelled against God, a sin of pride, and since God apparently dislikes pride he banished Lucifer from Heaven. But as Milton's great character says: "It is better to reign in Hell than to serve in Heaven." Lucifer is thus somewhat like God, who also relishes in pride; God was too proud to put up with Lucifer. But God had a little more power and so could banish Lucifer. Lucifer, however, gets the upper hand in Milton by being the more interesting character. God is rather dull and wimpy. If God created the Devil why would He destroy him?
God created Angels, and the Angels were flawed like man is today. The Angel known as Lucifer was one the most powerful Angels. Lucifer got jealous of God's power and wanted it for him self. The ensuing war between God and his Angels against Lucifer and the rogue Angels led to Lucifer's defeat and God banished him from heaven but sent him to rule Hell as a compromise for allowing Lucifer to exist. Lucifer to this day is still jealous of God and hates God for banishing him.

There was a war in Heaven where Satan (whose name in Heaven was Lucifer) revolted against God after God chose his son (Jesus) to become the saviour of mankind. Lucifer didn't think Jesus or God was any more powerful than him or the other angels, so he persuaded some other angels to band with him against God. God foresaw this and sent Michael to chuck them out. Michael succeeded.

Who? I suppose that you are referring to "he" as Lucifer. It was because Lucifer became arrogant. He was blameless in his ways, until wickedness was found in him. Lucifer wanted to be like the Most High. And so God cast the guardian cherub to the earth. Hence, Lucifer turned into satan, the decil, the father of lies, the serpent.
