Mendel allowed the offspring of his experimental plants to self-pollinate. That is, he allowed the male and female reproductive cells of the same plant to join and produce a seed. One of the characteristics of pea plants is that it is easy to cross different pea plants but, left to themselves, they self-pollinate with little chance of any accidental pollination between plants. Altered characteristics of organisms from one generation of plants to another?

Gregor Mendel's studies?

Gregor Mendel studied genetics by observing generation of pea plants. By altering a single factor there were no changes first generation, but by second generation the variables were exposed.

What was mendels second experiments?

Mendel allowed the first generation plants to self pollinate.

Mendel obtained his P generation by allowing the plants to?

Cross-Pollinate

How did Gregor Mendel make sure that the plant with round seeds did not self pollinate?

He allowed plants whose seeds were round or wrinkled in shape to self pollinate. This trait has two variations-either round or wrinkled seeds.

What technology did Gregor Mendel use for his pea plant experiments?

Gregor Mendel didn't really use any technology. He basically observed the pea plants traits generation after generation, and the outcome of the same experiment repeated.

Describe gregor mendels experiment with pea plants?

Gregor Mendel's pea plant experiment allowed him great control, as pea plants can self-pollinate or cross-pollinate, and he was able to pollinate them at will. He studied the characteristics of each plant he would cross-pollinate, perform the pollination and plant the resulting seeds, then study the characteristics of the resulting plants.
