Businesses are important to the nation's economy as well as individuals and families for a variety of reasons, and the type of business can also depend on why they are important. Explain president Herbert Hoover actions in trying to solve the great depression?
The actions taken by President Hoover to solve the wall street crash (the depression) were, to give loans to businesses to help them recover. The Reconstruction Finance corporation was developed in 1929 and planned to help companies, it was claimed a success by the businesses it helped. He also bought produce from farmers above the Market rate, this would help the farmers and the agriculture in America. He also $4000 million into a building project, one of it's most famous buildings is the Hoover dam, built in Clark county, Nevada and was built by 1936. The last action I'm going to mention is the Emergency Relief Act (ERA), Hoover provided $300 million to give food and shelter to the less fortunate people. This is the most simplest way of explaining the actions taken by Hoover. Thank you.

How is that Hoover Failed in addressing the challenges presented by the Depression?
Hoover was a republican, and a very conservative one at that, so because of his conservative beliefs, he was restricted in helping the country besides through matters of private charity and stimulation of businesses. But the help he provided wasn't enough for the country, America needed more help, which would have to be provided through the federal government.
