No one know why " exactly " Germany and Italy declared war on the united states after the attack of pearl harbor "they did not need a 3rd front to fight on"

bat i think that because when U.S wase a Neutral country , Germany U-boat can not attack ther ships heading to U.K "and the US Navy Neutrality Patrol had ensured safe passage of merchant ships bound for England , so the siege of U.K was not effective

they take the opportunity of U.S declare war on Japan and they did the same .

They were part of an alliance between Germany, Italy and Japan. When we declared war on Germany over their refusal to pull out of Poland, Italy joined in to support their allies, and help themselves to bits of the Mediterranean that they had designs upon.
