∙ 8y agoA reasonable assumption is that Jesus healed people so that others would learn about his miracles and believe. However, Mark frequently states that Jesus told people not to tell anyone about his miracles.
When a gentile woman asked him to exorcise demons from her daughter, his first reaction was to speak of gentiles as 'dogs' (Mark 7:27), meaning that he did not really want to help. Although he relented and said that her daughter was cured, the inference of this passage is that Jesus was motivated to help the suffering of Jews alone.
