Marie Curie came from Poland. Then, later she moved to France. She came from a very poor family, so she had a struggle trying to go through school and college.
Marie Curie lived in various places throughout her life, including Poland, France, and at the Radium Institute in Paris. She conducted her groundbreaking research in Paris, where she became the first woman to win a Nobel Prize and the only person to win Nobel Prizes in two different scientific fields (physics and chemistry).
After Marie Curie was finished with college she went to Paris, France to study mathematics and science with the goal of getting a teachers degree so she go back to Warsaw to teach. She decided to stay in Paris when she met Pierre Curie.
