We do NOT pray to statues , but they are merely a visual aid to contemplation and inspiration. In the case of some Saints, they are artist's renditions from people who knew them in life , or written or verbal descriptions. We do not worship the Saints, but pray for their intercession, or to direct prayers to God. We worship God alone , in the triumverate person of the Holy Trinity.Even Our Blessed Mother Mary, for whom many of us have great love and devotion, we do not worship, but she is Queen of Heaven and All Saints. She was and is the Bridge to Heaven through Our Lord, Jesus Christ , Her Most Beloved and Only Son, who died for the remission of our sins.
