Question: Why did Mother Teresa get the 1979 Nobel Peace Prize?

Answer: The Norwegian Nobel Committee writes in their motivation: "In making the award the Norwegian Nobel Committee has expressed its recognition of Mother Teresa's work in bringing help to suffering humanity. Mother Theresa got the noble prize for peace because she had done marvellous works for the poor. She lived with the poorest of the poor. She left her home town where there was richness, joy and peace and came to India on God's call just to help the poor. So she well deserves the noble peace prize.
