You know I am not into Classical Music, but boring, not really. I like to listen to the different instruments and pick out individual parts. Some of those lines can be used to make a wicked solo on a different instrument Classical Music calms & refreshes the instrument. I don't know much about Indian Classical Music but as I love listening soft, sad & instumental music I never felt bored. Whereas the other music has words, feelings & most important dance in it, so people prefer to listen then & entertaining. So, never say Classical Music is boring. It depends on the individual taste.

Yea, I have a bunch of guitars, all of them diffeent. I use a pick on my classical all the time. If you strum up close to the fingerboard you'll get a deeper tone.
