Cause they did not do anything for a very long time and wasted money
Barack Obama did not "turn off" NASA. During his presidency, Obama supported NASA's exploration and research efforts, including the development of the Orion spacecraft and the Space Launch System. However, under his administration, NASA shifted its focus from manned space exploration to promoting public-private partnerships for space travel and placing greater emphasis on Earth science and climate research.
Basically nothing now that Obama is beginning to end NASA.
Charles Frank "Charlie" Bolden, Jr. is the current Administrator of NASA selected by president Barrack Obama.
NASA is the National Aeronautics and Space Administration. From the lighter side: Never A Straight Answer.so thats what is the same about NASA and Obama XD
Obama is shutting down NASA
President Obama, like his predecessor President Bush, has tried to continue funding space exploration; but President Obama has had to deal with budget cuts due to the economy. Rather than sending astronauts back to the moon (where we have already been), Mr. Obama is asking NASA to focus on a trip to Mars, and that is what NASA is planning at this time. Reports that Mr. Obama has eliminated NASA or tried to thwart space exploration are false.
NASA's chief Administrator is Charles Bolden (as of March 26, 2010). He was appointed by Barack Obama on May 23, 2009. He is also the first African-American to be appointed NASA administrator.
No, not at all. President Obama didn't shut down NASA. He just asked them to shut down another voyage to the moon, since we have already been there. He asked them to focus on a future trip to Mars instead. NASA is alive and well and the space program is in no danger of being shut down.
Cost and Obama wants them to make nice with the middle east...
Former NASA astronaut Mark Kelly sat on one side of First Lady Michelle Obama.
NASA is a federal agency not a private company so it has a director or administrator (federal appointee) not a CEO. The current administrator of NASA is Charles F. Bolden who was appointed by President Obama. (Current as of Nov 2014).

Texas is where NASA's headquarters are located, however Florida is where their space shuttles take off from.
