Why did Paul McCartney choose the pseudonym 'Paul Ramone' to record with the Steve Miller Band?
He adopted the stage name "Paul Ramone" early in the Beatles career; he revived it for his session with Steve Miller. (The song was "My Dark Hour", with the same guitar riff as Miller's later "Fly Like An Eagle".) McCartney often worked under pseudonyms with collaborators, so they wouldn't have to pay him (or EMI) any royalties or fees.

James Paul McCartney is a musician, composer and singer. He sang, composed and played several musical instruments for the legendary pop group The Beatles where he was part of the songwriting partnership of Lennon/McCartney. McCartney was born in Liverpool, England in 1942. McCartney's father was …a proficient amateur musician. McCartney met Lennon in 1957 and joined Lennon's band (then called the Quarry Men) in the same year. The band eventually became the Beatles in 1960, comprising Lennon and McCartney together with George Harrison, Stuart Sutcliffe and Pete Best. Stuart Sutcliffe left the band to pursue his artistic career, but died of a brain hemorrhage the following year. The band replaced Pete Best with Ringo Starr in 1962 to form the well known line-up. In the Beatles career, Lennon and McCartney wrote a string of hits that helped propel the Beatles to unprecedented (and unrepeated) fame. Lennon and McCartney were called the greatest composers since Beethoven and the greatest songwriters since Schubert. The Beatles broke up in 1970; any thoughts of a reunion were dispelled by Lennon's murder in 1980. McCartney continued a successful solo career. Highlights of McCartney's career include "Yesterday"; the most covered song in American history and "Mull of Kintyre"; the best selling non-charity song in UK history. He has 60 gold records and is listed in the Guinness Book of World Records as the most successful singer/songwriter in history. McCartney has been nominated for an Academy Award three times; twice as a solo artist and once with the Beatles (for best original song - "Let It Be"). He was successful for the joint nomination. He was knighted in 1997. ( Full Answer )

Although it is very sceptical to some people, there is allot of evidence that backs up the death of Paul McCartney! I am a believer from watching and reading up on the evidence. Here is a documentary about it: Paul McCartney Really Is Dead: The Last Testament of George Harrison I truthfully am …not sure if the tape on this video was made by George Harrison. But lots of the evidence shown is very valid. I own some vintage records that are mentioned in this movie and i clearly notice the hints the Beatles gave to hint to the public about Paul's death. The theory is that Paul died in a car accident. The government Strongly acknowledging the fact that if the crazy fans of the beatles were aware of there death that suicides would rapidly happen. To prevent this the government thought of a solution. A look alike contest was held and the winner was William Campbell. The government with his agreement had many surgeries to change the facial features on him to look more like Paul. This man Lives today as Faul: (False Paul). Hints were given out in song lyrics, album covers, and album names. This is something u will have to assume for yourself. I recommend watching the movie (It is instant queue on Netflix) and seeing for yourself. ( Full Answer )

Four of those songs are from The White Album, Ringo left the band for a short period of time during the recording of The White Album and Paul took over the drums while he was gone…. His 2001 song "Freedom" (written in the wake of 9/11; he was aboard an airliner that was in line at Kennedy Airport, with the same planes used in t…he World Trade Center and Pentagon attacks) describes freedom as "a right given by God", so he may have changed his views in later years. Paul McCartney was not a jerk, and although I agree he can be bossy, he had to be. Everyone perceives him as a jerk, when someone had to take charge of the band, and that was Paul. Paul isn't my favorite Beatle but he really is a great guy and in my opinion, knowing a lot about The Beatles, they wou…ldn't have lasted as long as they did without him. :) After all, many things The Beatles did, including the Sgt. Pepper album, was Paul McCartney's idea. You can see some of Paul's character through the Beatles' movies. ( Full Answer )

That's a very difficult question to answer without actually knowing from the bands themselves, but it's fair to say that the band Oasis gets much of it's inspiration from the Beatles and therefore Paul McCartney.
