Peeta loved Katniss since they were in kindergarden, on the first day of school his dad told him, "hey look that's the daughter of the woman i was gonna marry, but she ran off with a coal mioner bc when he sang all the birds would be quiet and listen" and then Katniss sang during music class that day and all the birds got quiet and Peeta loved her bc she could sing so good
