In 1763 there was an Ottawa leader who's name was Pontiac. The British(English) were taking up lots of land (Native American land) and the Ottawa decided to stop helping them and rebel them. They had a signed petition, but the petition wasn't approved so the British kept taking Native land. Pontiac said, "seeks only to destory us".

And of course the rebellion led to war sooner or later. Native Americans attaked British forts and their settlements in the Ohio River Valley and near the Great Lakes. This certain war was known as Pontiac's Rebellion.
