Russia has banned Jehovah's Witnesses literature and activities in parts of its provences due to their alleged "extremist" nature. The law has since been deemed as unlawful by the European Court of Human Rights and Russia has been instructed to lift restrictions.

The most common reasons why our brothers are being persecuted in countries, like Russia is because of our political neutrality. Meaning, we don't engage in military service, we condone war (Isaiah 2:4) and don't favor any political candidates or parties.

Isaiah 2:4 reads: "...Nation will not take up sword against nation, nor will they train for war anymore."

Our works are just plainly concentrated to preaching the good news of Jehovah God's Kingdom. Unfortunately, there are governments that considers our activity as illegal since we follow God's Laws above all instead of Human Laws.
