Obviously Milky Way cuz it reminds them of the sky
Rudolf is very special because of his red nose not just that but Santa needs Rudolf to be in the front because he can light up the sky for Santa and the rest of the reindeer so they can see.
"Look, Santa! It's time to deliver presents to all the children!"

First, it should be noted that this is a myth, a popular legend that has been told for several hundred years. It is a story about Santa Claus (or Father Christmas) flying through the sky in a magical sleigh, pulled by reindeer, to bring gifts to children all over the world. In the original telling, popularized in a poem called 'Twas the Night Before Christmas, there was no reindeer with a red nose; there were eight reindeer, and they all pulled the sleigh. A ninth reindeer, Rudolph, was added later-- in the 1930s, when a hit song about "Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer" made him part of the story. But whether he was original to the story or not, the purpose of the reindeer with the nose that was "glowing" (not "growing") was to help Santa/Father Christmas see the homes with the good children, so that he could make sure they received their Christmas gifts.
In the poem "The Night Before Christmas," coursers refer to Santa's reindeer that pull his sleigh. The term is a poetic way of describing the animals' swift and agile movement through the sky.
No one is positive why reindeer lead Santa's sleigh, but there are some interesting theories. In Norse and Germanic mythology, Thor is the God of Thunder and soars through the sky in a chariot pulled by two magical goats. Thor was highly revered and was arguably the most popular of Norse gods in ancient times. Images and stories of Thor soaring the skies in his sleigh pulled by two large, horned goats may have influenced the creation of Santa's sleigh and flying, antlered reindeer by those in the west familiar with Dutch or Germanic mythology. The first known written account of reindeer in association with the legend of Santa Claus occurred in 1821. That year, New York printer William Gilley published a sixteen page booklet titled A New Year's Present, to the Little Ones from Five to Twelve Number III : The Children's Friend by an anonymous author. In the book, reindeer are introduced into the Santa Claus narrative:Old Santa Claus with much delightHis reindeer drives this frosty night.O'er chimneytops, and tracks of snow,To bring his yearly gifts to you.And now, one from the lighter side: During these these recent WikiYears, it has been brought to my attention that only the female reindeer would still have their antlers in late December. Every single depiction I've ever seen in my life shows Santa's sleigh being drawn by reindeer with antlers. In light of the fact that us men (yes, of ALL species) are world-renowned for never pulling over to ask for directions, PLUS the fact that the female of ANY species is responsible for the survival of their respective species, AND the fact that reindeer are very hardy animals, I would feel remiss if I did NOT opine that the reindeer are Santa's best choice. And they work for oats.
Mall, north pole, home, sky or put a camera under your tree and wait.
Santa does not use roads, his sleigh travels in the sky.
I always heard that Santa's sleigh is made of a special metal that attracts stardust, so it sparkles when he rides through the sky. I also read that this metal doesn't get cold like regular metal, but instead is toasty warm--so Santa doesn't get cold. And, did you hear that moonbeams make the reins and harnesses going to the reindeer--- I thought that was really magical. It sounds like a lovely sleigh!
No, he lives at the North Pole.
Original NameThe reindeer's name was originally given as "Dunder," which corresponded to Blitzen's original name, "Blixem." "Dunder" and "Blixem" mean "Thunder" and "Lightning."
