Tecumseh wanted to unite the American Indians so that they could resist "the white men" easier.
The Shawnee Chief's name is Tecumseh. Your welcome!! :DIt's Tecumseh, chief of the Shawnees.
Tecumseh learned that the white men were expanding and encroaching on Native American lands, leading to the loss of traditional territories and way of life for his people. He also learned that the white men were not to be trusted in agreements or treaties.
He learned they were hungry for land and would not stop at any cost to take it from the Native Americans.
All white men are different. Some white men practice polygamy and others think it is disgusting.
Not sure of the spelling but his name was Tecumseh. I think he was the chief of the Shawnee tribe that sided with the white men and was later betrayed.
Tecumseh was a Shawnee tribe leader, that sided with the British , and battled against the Americans that were trying to invade Tecumseh's land. He battled along side general Isaac Brock with Tecumseh's army of 2000 men. Tecumseh's army was the largest aboriginal army the great lakes had ever seen. While the British panicked and retreated in the battle of Thames river, Tecumseh and his followers battled on furiously even though they were hopelessly out numbered. Tecumseh died on the battle field in the battle of Thames river with many of his men on October 5th 1813.
No, not many, there are some but it's low. There are more African American men and white women couples(especially white American couples) though, that's prevalent but not with African men alot.
Tecumseh
Tecumseh
Tecumseh was a very significant Native American who gave his life for what he believed. He knew that the Americans were a tremendous threat to all Indian tribes, and realized that the Indians would be destroyed one by one if not united. Tecumseh created a confederation of thirty-two tribes in hopes that the Americans would recognize their borders and thus put a halt to westward expansion. His confederation may have succeeded if it were not for the mistakes made by his brother, Laulewasika, the Americans violent actions towards the Indian tribes, and the unwillingness of the different tribes to cooperate. Tecumseh was born in March of 1768. His real name was Tecumtha, which meant "panther lying in wait," but to the white men he was called Tecumseh which stood for "shooting star."
