Texans foughT in the battle of the alamo to help fend of the Mexican Army for 13 days to give Sam Houston time to train an Army and give them time to defeat the Mexican Army and win independence to make Texas a independent country. Everybody except for a few women, children, and slaves died. It was the only way the Texan Army would have won.
