Sir Thomas More was executed after refusing to accept Henry VIII as Supreme Head of the Church of England. A devout Catholic, More was opposed to the EnglandÕs separation from the Roman Catholic Church. He was also against Henry VIIIÕs marriage to Anne Boleyn.
