Dr Gachet was treating him.
Vincent Van Gogh
In May 1890, Van Gogh left the clinic at Saint-Rémy to move near the physician Dr. Paul Gachet in Auvers-sur-Oise near Paris, where would also be closer to his Theo. Dr. Gachet was recommended to Van Gogh by Camille Pissarro. Gachet had previously treated several artists and was an amateur artist himself.

In the 19th century Vincent Van Gogh preferred dull, bland colours to paint with his specialized paintings
He started to paint in 1880.
Vincent van Gogh's doctor was Paul Gachet, who cared for him during his time in Auvers-sur-Oise. Gachet was known for his interest in art and his compassionate approach to treating Van Gogh's mental health issues. The incident involving a request for a gun to shoot at crows reflects Van Gogh's troubled state of mind and his struggles with mental illness during that period. Gachet's support was significant, yet Van Gogh's challenges ultimately persisted.
