The "Dawn horses" were actually not related to horses! Recent studies of fossils found that "Dawn Horses" were buried in the same rock layers as modern horses! evolutionists were shocked at first but then decided that the "Dawn horse" was related to rabbits! Now to answer your question no one really knows why they went extinct. Evolutionist believe they changed into rabbits and Creationists (people who believe God created the universe and that evolution is incorrect) believe they died out due to climate changes after the global flood of Noah.
yesterday.
The Dawn horse, part of the genus Hyracotherium was a early horse prototype that existed in North America during the Eocene Epoch ( 55.8 to 33.9 million years ago.) They were also known as Eohippus, and were about the size of a large fox or medium sized dog and browsed on leaves. They did go extinct, but were followed by Orohippus.
There are no such thing as 3 toe horses. God made horses as they are now.
The Eohippus, or Dawn Horse, has been extinct for thousands of years. This creature was the ancestor of modern equines.
The horse that is extinct is the first horse and that was called the dawn horse 36c cm 4 toes on each foot foot and 3 on the back. It fed on leaves as well seem as there was no grass.
There are no "two horses," in The Voyage of the Dawn Treader, but in The Horse and His Boy, the two horses names are Bree (stallion) and Hwin (mare).
no
Horses did indeed become extinct in North America!. They survived, however in other countries.
Dawn horses were forest dwellers that browsed on leaves from bushes.
yes, there were native horses, but then they became extinct and stayed extinct, until the Spaniards brought them back to America. =D
Horses in general aren't extinct. There are still plenty of species left. Some of the original wild horse breeds have been lost though.
The Przewalski never did go completely extinct. they were bred in zoos and re-released back into their homelands. The Tarpan on the other hand went completely extinct but they have 'recreated' the breed and released it into the wild.
horses became extinct in the us un'till columbus brought them back
