Have you heard the song of Vanessa William, that say " you told me your dream but you give your heart to someone else?" If you can listen to this song it will make some sense why this person says he loves you but slept with another woman. Every time I hear that song, it really get to me because I am in that situation.....
And secondly maybe he just want to make sure that if his other woman is not available for him, he knows that you are waiting for him. Don't because you will look foolish..
