He separated England from Rome and formed the Church of England with himself as the head So he could divorce Catherine of Aragon
The Head of State in most places would be Head of the Church, but only as Chief magistrate! The Church had been slipping outside the law, ignoring whatever it didn't like. This had led to a great deal of ill feeling amongst many people and we should ask ourselves do we want the Church to be outside the law? Or should we simply ignore it?
There are plenty of spots in the world where various churches have turned away from legality and are now paying the price.
It is a lesson the English Church and King, learned 500 years ago!
By the way it is not true that Henry separated the English Church from Rome! It was Rome who took umbrage at being corrected over a blatant piece of lawlessness. The Canons of The Church say quite clearly that one bishop has no place to interfere in another bishop's see without permission! That is what the Bishop of Rome had been doing and he'd been told to stop! He has no authority other than what the Catholic Church gives him.
Henry took over the church of England because he beleived that the king should have all the power and to rule everything. so by taking over the church people and himself thought he was the best and the ruler of everything.
Because the church had more money than the king (henry the 8th )
NO. He didn't.Yes he did he took a lot of money from the church and the pope so he could invest it on the new church of England he made!
it was important for him because he was fighting with the pope for power/money
well.. what happened wass.. Henry needed money.. soo he sold the monarche[i think] [[ the place where the monks live]] for money plus the land to to get money. that's how .. [because he sold the monarche to get money]

Because he was a very selfish man, He also wanted the money to get a divorce from his wives.
he wanted to because he wanted to be like godzilla
Yes. Henry was bankrupt. He spent a lot of money on palaces and books and wars. He spent loads of money because he wanted to be very powerful. Henry also needed to spend money on his three children. They all needed an education. but he did get money when he opened up his own church - "the Church of England" however, when henry opened up the church of England he raided all the monasteries and took their riches for himself. Again he spent all of it too quickly and a lot was taken out on the same needs as before
Henry the VIII was a good king because he set up the church of England and he was a well educated man he also made England a stronger country during the war of the roses However Henry was also a bad king because he destroyed all ministries and nunneries he also killed many of his wives. Henry also took money from the church and spent it on himself

Because he didactuallyhelp England ...Maybe not his wives.. But he did help the country..He realized that the church were getting tons of money in ...(Keeping the money forthemselves(priest's).So Henry turned toChristianity. If itwasn'tfor him .. We would be or have to be catholic...
Henry was quite poor at his start of his life but then got more money first by taking taxes from the church instead of giving them to the pope he got them. Another way was to sell the church land and content
