He was a dictator that attempted to run the economy into the ground to his best ability, quashed protests with unrecorded executions, and was generally a nutter.
The president of Libya who is now being protested against by basically the whole world.
if you mean Colonel Moammar Gaddafi he was given power about 42 years ago
Libya has 100 aircraft carrier, 300 destroyer and 50 nuclear powered submarines..
Libya has been ruled for over 40 years by a very destructive and insane ruler named Moammar Gadhafi. Most of the people of Libya are not happy about that and want to have a more honest and sane kind of government.
February 15th, 2011
its been going for 3 weeks aproxcimately and that is all
Romania was involved in the war against Libya.A contribution to the war of NATO countries against Libya.
Moammar Gadhafi is a despotic and deranged ruler, who has abused and killed large numbers of people, and who has wasted the considerable wealth of Libya by spending it to finance international terrorism and war, and on other personal whims of his, rather than by spending it to create a better standard of living in Libya, and the population of Libya wants an honest government that will meet their needs.
The US is currently providing air support along with Great Britain and France to protect the civilian population during a rebellion in Libya against the dictator Moammar Gadhafi in accordance with United Nations resolution 1973. The purpose of this intervention is to prevent a slaughter of civilians by Gadhafi. The civil war is still in progress as of April 4, 2011, as I type. Even if Gadhafi is defeated by the rebellion, that will not mean that Obama or the US will have control of Libya. The rebels will then be in control.
It doesn't have to be Iraq, Iran, Afghanistan, Pakistan, Libya, or Norway; the 1st Amendment protects US citizens to peaceably assemble to protest.
The odds are against it.
No, it is highly unlikely that the United States will use nuclear arms against Libya.
