Hi. Im 16 and I was adopted by my aunt, who is my real moms sister, and my uncle when i was a baby. (I call them mom and dad) Since then they have gotten divorced and I now live with my mom(aunt), brother(cousin), and stepdad in PA. I grew up in Louisiana with my aunt and uncle (not stepdad) my whole life until i was about 11, which is when they divorced. Before we moved my uncle took my aunt to court because he wanted me and my brother to live with him, but right before court my aunt went and took my uncles name off of the adoption papers, and told them that he was not in my life, which was not true AT ALL. Since she did this without telling anyone, he could not get me to stay with him. Now I am 16 and I want to move with him, but my aunt won't let me. I have my own room at his house in Louisiana, and he's stable and wants me to live with him too. My aunt and I always get into fights and she tells me that she doesnt love me and never will, and that im not her real kid. My aunt and stepdad both dont want me here, yet they wont let me go. They always tell me that when i leave it will be the happiest day of their lives. My uncle (dad) is like my bestfriend, but also a father. Hes always there for me and supports me, and wants me to live with him, but he doesnt know how to make it happen because he is no longer on the list for guardianship.
